Do not try this at home

Shopping online is great for buying things like underwear and socks, but it’s not such a great source for hemorrhoid treatment.

I had a patient come to me who not only decided to try and treat her hemorrhoids herself, the product she bought was actually designed to remove skin tags. The apparatus wasn’t made for hemorrhoids, but she nonetheless used it to band the bump in her rump.

Having no idea what she was doing, or banding, she panicked when things got painful and she couldn’t get the band off. Fortunately she avoided infection and did not cause any serious harm to herself, but the moral of the story is that some things, such as medical procedures, should be left to the professionals. So instead of wasting your money on creams, suppositories, medicated pads, and DIY bands, here’s how I can help.

I have two treatments designed to safely eliminate hemorrhoids.

One reduces the blood flow that feeds the hemorrhoids, improving inflammation and causing them to shrink. The other is better suited to removing larger hemorrhoids. Both take just a few seconds to do. Since they are performed in an area with no nerve endings, they can be administered right in the comfort of my office without anesthesia.

There is virtually no pain, no prep needed, there are no major restrictions, and you don’t have to take time off of work. Consultations are free of charge, and our procedures are covered by insurance.
